    Quebec City and Montreal Trip

I’m sure you have heard that St. Mary’s global theme for this year is our vast and beautiful northern neighbor, Canada! I am delighted to inform you that we are offering an outstanding exploration trip to Montreal and Quebec City.

    Who is invited?
    • Middle school students – There will be at least one St. Mary’s faculty chaperone for every 10 middle school students. I will work with administration on determining the additional and specific chaperones as we see the makeup of the group. Students will be assigned to quad rooms but are welcome to request rooms with their friends.
    • Intermediate students may attend if accompanied by and staying in a room with his/her parent. Intermediate families are also welcome to pair up and stay in a quad (example: two moms each traveling with a daughter).
What is the expectation of student travelers?
    • Students attending will be considered ambassadors of our school and country. They will be counted on to represent us well.
    • Students attending will be considered leaders in our global theme of Canada and may be called upon during the year to participate in activities, such as sharing with classmates or joining an assembly presentation.
    Who is planning the trip?
    • St. Mary’s is using the American Council for International Studies (ACIS) to make all the arrangements. Please contact them directly at 1-877-795-0813 with your questions and concerns. Tell them our “Group ID” is 80640 and that Linda Boza is the “Group Leader.” The “Program Name” is Quebec City and Montreal by Air.
    • ACIS did an excellent job of making our arrangements when our students attended the International School Connections World Conference in Sweden, especially with the situation of rescheduling due to a volcanic interruption to air travel.
    How does one sign-up?
    • Feel free to call ACIS Client Services at 1-877-795-0813 with any questions about the trip or the registration process. All terms and conditions, cancellation/refund policies, etc. are covered within the booklet.
    • Our “Group ID” is 80640, Linda Boza is the “Group Leader,” and the “Program Name” is Quebec City and Montreal by Air.
    • Please also email a copy or photo of the completed registration form to Linda.Boza@smeds.org.
    • Sign up with a $200 deposit per person.
    Important to Know
    • St. Mary’s must have at least 20 student or parent travelers signed up to meet the travel requirements. Should we not reach our goal, ACIS will refund all deposits.
    • St. Mary’s is only accepting a maximum of 40 student or parent travelers for this trip. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
