A pledge may be made now and paid over the course of the fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). Payments to a pledge are due in full by June 30th, which is the end of St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School’s fiscal year.
No, these are two different initiatives for opportunities to support our school, and we highly encourage our families to support both!
The Fleur-de-lis Jubilee is the Parents’ Association fundraising event that supports community-building initiatives and special projects that enhance student life throughout the school year. Gifts to the Fleur-de-lis Jubilee directly fund the Parents’ Association’s efforts to enrich the St. Mary’s experience through programs, events, and campus enhancements.
In contrast, the Saints Fund is St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School’s annual giving campaign and the school’s foremost fundraising initiative. Donations to the Saints Fund provide vital support for the school’s operating budget—helping sustain excellence in academics, faculty, financial aid, and programs that benefit every student, every day. The Saints Fund also raises money for our Endowment fund, which is a crucial component of securing the long-term financial sustainability of our institution.
St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School has established named giving levels to honor its most generous donors and to encourage others to follow their example of philanthropy, leadership, and support.
The following gift levels are acknowledged each year in the Annual Report. Leadership Level contributors (donors over $2,500) have their names displayed on the Legacy Wall on campus and are invited to the annual Gratitude Reception the following fall in recognition of their generosity.
- Legacy Leaders $25,000 and above
- Head of School’s Circle $15,000 -- $24,999
- Trustees Circle $7,500 -- $14,999
- Fleur-de-lis Society $5,000 -- $7,499
- Saints Society, $2,500 -- $4,999
- Friends of SMEDS up to $2,499
Thousands of companies will match gifts that their employees make to non-profit organizations such as St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School. Please check with your employer’s human resources office to initiate a matching gift. St. Mary’s Episcopal Day School’s Tax ID/Employer Identification Number is 59-1985294.You will receive credit for the total amount of your donation plus the matching gift. For example, if you donate $1,000 and your employer matches your gift, you will be credited for a $2,000 gift in the Annual Report.
